~ Juxtaposition of Seasons – Poem by Muse ~

~ Juxtaposition of Seasons ~
Arise my friends from your sleep…
As the coldness darkly creeps…
Though winter peeked in…
At the early dawn…
It skittishly departed…
Like a freshly born fawn…
~
Arise and see the gentle cries of spring…
The entire world has yet to bring!
~
For glassy ice melts…
And warm rain drops fall…
Those brown clumped masses…
Now grow vibrant and tall.
~
The murky skies…
Once overcast and forlorn…
Have bowed away graciously…
To spring’s sweet horn.
~
My friends and I…
Were once swaddled in furs…
Surrender our garb…
Not that the sun has stirred.
~
This juxtaposition of seasons…
Will soon fade with time…
And alas will be mere memories…
Recalled only in gentle rhymes

  1. I love spring most of all. Coming out into the sun after being locked away in winter makes me very happy. You put the changes so tenderly!

  2. My English is not so good. Looking up many words for this poem has helped my words grow. The poetry is like a sweet song sung by birds. Chirps for the winter to fall down and bring spring to all our hearts.

  3. I can feel snowflakes on my face. I can feel sun on my toes. You always make the world alive!

  4. Could it be that light and love and the Muse’s pen are tied together in time? Do you peer into the seasons as a heavenly body peers into the world below?

Your gift of weaving words continues to amaze and woo me.
Stay Well Read and Well Spoken

  5. You have made me long for spring. It is the best time of year! My garden is near heaven for me. If I ever wrote anything close to poetry it would be there. But even if I did my words would read as sing song as yours. Very pretty.

  6. Dear Muse I want to stop at your blog this week and let you know I am happy to read your talented words once more. Your new site presence well suits you. I wish you the best success in the coming year.

  7. Beautiful tale Muse. I feel swept away into pictures of calendars. Dancing in rain showers of melting snow.
