Do You Know Poem by Muse

Do You Know by Muse

~Do You Know~
I cannot remember
When the day of life began ~
The uphill battle of this journey
In a life that keeps on turning
~
What will I be? Where will I go?
Do you know…Do you know?

I feel the rising of my soul
And this day will take its toll ~
I venture forth
Commanding a tyranny
Of resolute relevance
Into the night
~
What will I be? Where will I go?
Do you know…Do you know?
~
In this figurative landscape
That is my life
Shipwrecked in a sea of words
Drowning in an ocean
~
Swirled and stirred
I cannot be heard
~
I am emptiness
Defined
A singularity
Adrift
~
Do you know?
That you alone
Are my anchor ~
~
Do you know?
That you alone
Are my oar?
~
Let me release myself into
The mighty ocean waves ~
Let the sea water offer
Up a briny caressing haze
I shall be adrift
Until the end of days
Without you
~
What will we become?
Where will we go?
Do you know?
Do you know?
~

Ensanguine Ancestry – Poem by Muse

Ensanguine Ancestry - Introspective Poetry by Muse ~Ensanguine Ancestry~
~
Ensanguine ancestry can assuredly claim us all
Calamitous archival plaques hung upon our wall
Devoid of true purity for we are the sons of man
…Riddled faults and fractures we both must withstand
I beseech you my love to retreat from this malady
Do not cling to monolithic pain with such formality
Waning stygian pillars, watchtowers of your soul
Obsolete moats engulf you as cavernous gaping holes
~
Banal dawns tread synthetically across the plateau
Summarily deserted, your heart, an abandoned chateau
Know that I too once dwelled in virulent seclusion
But for the presence of you, my life was an illusion
I bid thee unbar your doors, clasp my ordained trust
The desolate castle of lost nobles crumples into dust
(Procured souls rapturously purging all past injustice)

Event Horizon – Spirit Filled Poem by Muse

Event Horizon - Christian Poetry by Muse~The Event Horizon~
~
Haze filled skies…
Lifted up from the gloom…
And she knew…
Yes…she knew.
~
Tendrils of golden sunlight…
Pierced the gray air…
And she knew…
Yes…she knew.
~
Pulsating thunderous ramparts…
Hammered the earth…
Beneath her feet…
And she knew…
Yes…she knew.
~
Her breath quickened…
Her heart raced….
Her breath so warm…
Blew like a cloud into the coldness of space…
And she knew…
Yes…she knew.
~
A trumpet’s blare…
Pierced the air…
Its notes signaling the start…
~
The Beginning…
It was at hand…
No turning back…
For she assuredly knew

At Times I Am A Flower – Poem by Muse

~At Times I Am A Flower~
~
At times I am a flower…
Singularly defined.
~
At times I am a flower…
Serendipitously designed.
~
At times I am a flower…
Existing with my stem.
~
At times I am a flower…
Blowing in the wind.
~
At times I am a flower…
Frightened by waters deep.
~
At times I am a flower…
Who grows worried in her sleep.
~

At times I am a flower…
Who assuredly cannot swim.
~
At times I am a flower…
Who fears her own end.
~
At times I am a flower…
Who sees miracles on high.
~
At times I am a flower…
Whose friends lift to me to the sky.
~
At times I am a flower…
Lifted up in gentle prayer.
~
At times I am a flower…
And I thank Heaven you are there.

~ Spiritual Poetry – Time by Muse ~

Giving no quarter…
To neither man nor beast…
The sun rises…
From the heaven’s East…
Time’s companions…
Are life and death…
Taking and giving…
One man’s breath…Powerless and powerful…
We are blessed in this life…
By a wondrous Creator…
Who keeps us in His sight…
For He alone…
Controls the sands…
That shift from within…
For He alone…
Controls the lives…
Of beasts and men. Yes, He alone…
Will turn the orb…
In the twinkling of an eye…
Watching ancient grains of sand…
Slipping sweetly by. Yes He alone will stay the orb…
When our time has come to pass…
Those ancient grains of sand…
Lying peacefully in the glass
